My name is Stephane Bourgeois, I was born in the suburbs of Paris in 1973. I studied Physics at Universite Paris 7, and finally abandoned my Master of Physics, and moved to Montreal in October 1999. I am now writing my PhD thesis in molecular biology (University de Montreal). I just moved back to Europe (currently in France) for familial reasons, and am still in an adjustment phase concerning printing photos and shooting.

Photography is a passion I contracted this very same year of 1999, and it only got worse since then. I started with a Canon EOS, and a few friends modelled for me in the living room of my appartment in Paris. I sold this camera just before moving to Montreal and chose to buy a Nikon FM2. Now I also work with a Nikon F5, as well as two Pentax 67.

The digital world is not (yet) for me, and I still developp and print all my photos myself, in a darkroom. As I unfortunately cannot afford my own studio, I have to rent one.

Some of the photos presented on this site are for sale. All the prints are done in darkroom on silver paper and selenium toned for maximal preservation. The price depends on the size of the print (minimum 11x14) and the difficulty of the printing process, please contact me for inquiry. NB: No prints for sale for the moment, until I get a new darkroom and choose replacement papers for the ones that are not made anymore.

If you wish to contact me feel free to do so and click on CONTACT. Depending on my available time and the project, you can hire me, just contact me to work out the details. If you would like to model for me, please read the MODEL FOR ME section. To find a banner to link my site, click HERE.
